 ADIOS CDs Overview

You can either boot the multi-boot DVD and select one of the live linux CDs described below or you can run the ISO image of one of these CDs within Windows using QEMU virtual machine software.  To improve performance you can copy the ISO to USB or to hard disk.  

Note: User adios and root have been assigned the password 12qwaszx. To run content management systems such as drupal first start the mysql server with service mysqld restart, then access via https://localhost/phpMyAdmin.

To access secure web pages on the ADIOS CD enter https://localhost username adios with password 12qwaszx. Edit the apache web server configuration files (/etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf and /etc/httpd/conf.d/ssl.conf) to change access control and authentication. 

 Adios 8 - NET

The objective of the ADIOS ISO is to provide a reasonable set of network administration, system administration, network programming, computer security and computer forensic tools on one live CD. The image also supports a content management system and the openoffice suite. The default windows desktop uses the KDE environment while the User Mode Linux virtual machines uses the ICE windows manager to create virtual networks.  ADIOS  tries to support English, Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese users. See the list of network packages on ADIOS CD.

 AdiosEDU 8

The objective of the ADIOSEDU ISO is to provide an educational live CD with both learning tools and educational games. The image also supports openoffice, planner and a web server. The default windows desktop uses the KDE environment. ADIOS tries to support English, Spanish and Portuguese users. See the list of educational packages on ADIOSEDU CD.

 AdiosENG 8

The objective of the ADIOSENG ISO is to provide a set of engineering and mathematical tools on a live CD. The software includes 2D CAD and 3D modelling, calculators, algebra and matrix systems, office tools for writing technical papers, and programming languages such as python. The default windows desktop is the KDE environment. See the list of engineering packages on ADIOSENG CD.

 AdiosIDE 8

The objective of the ADIOSIDE ISO is to provide an integrated development environment live CD with multiple computer programming languages that support graphics. The default windows desktop uses the XFCE environment while the User Mode Linux virtual machines uses the ICE windows manager to create virtual networks. See the list of programming packages on ADIOSIDE CD.

 AdiosBUS 8

The objective of the ADIOSBUS ISO is to provide a set of Business tools on a live CD.  The CD contains accounting, point-of-sale, project scheduling, enterprise resource planning, data mining and standard office software such as word processor, spreadsheet, database, drawing, slide presentation, and desktop publishing. The default windows desktop uses the XFCE environment. See the list of business packages on ADIOSBUS CD.

 AdiosDVD 8

The objective of the ADIOS DVD is to combine the best of the above software onto one 1.4GB image. This ISO tries to support English, Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese and provide KDE or XFCE frontend to the user. The DVD version comes with a whole lot more software that is not included in the above CDs. See the list of software on ADIOS DVD.

## The DVD are on the OS school DVD and can be run within Windows using QEMU.
