[edit] Examples of how HelpMeSpeak can be used
There are different ways that HelpMeSpeak can be used as a VOCA. For example:
[edit] Set up for individual users in a classroom
EXAMPLE: In a classroom with five students using the software, all five can have their own ‘website’ that is managed by one teacher. The software is run locally from a classroom PC.
[edit] Set up for individual users in a classroom, but running from a central web server
EXAMPLE: In a classroom with five students using the software, each can access their own website from the school webserver. Backup and management can all be maintained from the one centralised server.
[edit] Set up for individual users on a handheld device
EXAMPLE: Each user can have a dedicated handheld device that they can take with them. The HelpMeSpeak software and web server are installed in the handheld device. (Currently there are tiny web servers available for handheld devices, including mobile phones.)
[edit] Set up to run from a USB
EXAMPLE: A user can take their website with them and plug them into any PC/laptop/etc via a USB flash drive.
[edit] Other Uses
- As an aid to learning foreign languages - HelpMeSpeak can be ported to run with any language.
- As an aid to learning to read - HelpMeSpeak can be used as a learn to read program.
