3-May-2008 ADIOS 8.0a using kernel 2.6.24.3 is available for testing at http://os.cqu.edu.au/iso/adios8.

4-March-2008 ADIOS 7.8 fixed the eject of the CD while allowing the UML virtual machine to run. This version also includes nessus.sqfs to support the "service nessus start" command and the "nessus" client.See http://os.cqu.edu.au/iso/adios7 to download. ADIOS 8.0 is currently being rebuilt with kernel 2.6.24 and should be available soon.

20-December-2007 A set of prerelease ADIOS 8.0q CDs built with kernel 2.6.18.2-adios are now available. See http://os.cqu.edu.au/iso/adios8 to download.

28-October-2007 ADIOS 8.0q built with kernel 2.6.18.2-adios is a pre-release of ADIOS 8. Version 8.0q runs within Windows using the open source QEMU and KQEMU accelerator. See http://os.cqu.edu.au/iso to download.

28-September-2007 ADIOS 7.3-1 built with kernel 2.6.18.2-adios is ADIOS 7.6 with an older kernel. Version 7.3-1 runs within Windows using the open source QEMU and KQEMU accelerator to provide performance. ADIOS DVD has both kernels which can be selected from the boot menu. 4-September-2007 ADIOS 7.6 built with kernel 2.6.22.5-adios is now available. The software index for the CD and DVD versions have been updated to reflect the additional content.

4-June-2007 A problem has been found with the initial busybox startup using kernel 2.6.20-adios, this means that SATA drives are not visible until the system is fully loaded. The code in the initial RAM drive has been fixed and ADIOS 7.5 will be released later this week.

24-May-2007 ADIOSWEBS 7.4 is the Security Enhanced Linux version of ADIOSWEB. This version comes with OpenOffice instead of Abiword and Gnumeric which results in the ISO being 400MBs in size. ADIOSDVD 7.4 was also released today and Eclipse now works on this version. Download from http://os.cqu.edu.au/pub/iso.

22-May-2007 ADIOS 7.4 has been released with kernel 2.6.20 and with changes in the default startup. If you want the run option menu to appear select "m" on the first screen. Download from http://os.cqu.edu.au/pub/iso.

30-Apr-2007 ADIOS 7.3 DVD has even more software and more software bugs have been fixed. See the ADIOS home site at http://os.cqu.edu.au/adios and download from http://os.cqu.edu.au/pub/iso.

22-Mar-2007 More minor improvements with the release of ADIOS 7.3 at http://os.cqu.edu.au/pub/iso. ADIOSWEB is a 300MB live CD using XFCE and ICEWM with a small set of office tools, see http://os.cqu.edu.au/adios/adiosweb.html.

21-February-2007 ADIOS 7.2 is now available, this includes ADIOSENG, ADIOSIDE, ADIOSKIDS, and ADIOSDVD. More users are reporting changes that they want and this has been very useful. So if you find a bug or have a suggestion please send an email. ADIOS 7.3 is able to run completely from USB using 1GB or larger flash drive.

10-February-2007 A re-release of ADIOS 7.1 CD was necessary after someone discovered that option 7 failed. A simple logic error was introduced which then caused option 7 to fail. This was fixed for the CD and rebuilt with no change to the release number. The error is still present on the DVD release. ADIOS 7.2 CD and DVD do not have this problem and include several more packages.

25-January-2007 ADIOS 7.1 can be downloaded from ISO images page. Information about ADIOSKIDS (educational tools and games), ADIOSIDE (programmers developement environment), ADIOSENG (Engineering, CAD and Mathematical Tools), and ADIOSCOL (run Linux within Windows) can be found on the ADIOS home page located at http://os.cqu.edu.au/adios.

23-December-2006 re-release of ADIOS 7.0 and ADIOSKIDS 1.0 - a simple typo found in latest startup script caused a major problem for this release.

14-December-2006 ADIOS 7.0 (based on Fedora Core 6), ADIOS 6.2 (based on FC5), and ADIOS 4.17 (based on FC4) are now available. In addition ADIOSKIDS 1.0 (built from ADIOS 7.0) is an educational live CD which is also online.

3-November-2006 ADIOS 7 alpha based on FC6 is in testing phase. If all goes to plan a release will be available within the next couple of weeks.

30-October-2006 ADIOS 6.1 is released. This version is a step towards solving the multiple language support problem for this live CD. It provides a mechanism for non English language support at the cost of downloading an extra file.

11-September-2006 ADIOS 6.0 is released. ADIOS coLinux for windows is also available at http://os.cqu.edu.au/pub/iso. Note: for UML to run on ADIOS coLinux you have to copy the adios.loop file from the ADIOS CD.

4-September-2006 ADIOS 6.0f is probably the last of the prereleases. Already found minor errors such as KDE menu entry tries to run uml when it should be xuml. These and other minor errors should be fixed by next week.

3-August-2006 ADIOS 6.0b based on Fedora Core 5 has replaced the alpha version. Version 5.0 and 4.16 are now also available.

3-July-2006 New site is up, ADIOS 6.0 (alpha) based on Fedora Core 5 is now available via http://os.cqu.edu.au/pub/iso See online documentation at http://os.cqu.edu.au/adios for latest features. Older versions of ADIOS 5.0 based on Fedora Core 4 and ADIOS 4.16 based on Fedora Core 3 will become online later.
