ADIOSWEB

The objective of the ADIOSWEB is to provide a minimal set of office tools for access the Internet on a live CD.  One reason for doing this is to provide a more secure method of performing online banking.  The ISO image is currently 300 Mbs in size.  Here is a list of some of the packages on ADIOSWEB live CD.

• Networking Tools 

  • firefox - web browser
  • balsa - mail client
  • putty - ssh and telnet client
  • gftp - ftp and ssh file transfer client
  • vncviewer - virtual network console

• Office Tools

  • abiword - word processor
  • evince - document viewer PDF and PS
  • gnumeric - spreadsheet program
  • inkscape - vector drawing program
  • thunar - file explorer

• Security and Diagnostic Tools

• iptables - firewall rules
• netstat - display open ports
• tcpdump - capture packets
